An infographic is a visual representation of information or data which is normally done online in a simplistic cartoonish style in a chart or a diagram. Infographics are important in journalism as the more vibrant colourful look about them allows the information to be condensed to a very simplistic style which allows the audience to retain their attention longer than what a regular article would do .

One way to create an infographic is online via websites like Piktochart and Vengage which are both incredibly similar and allow you to simplistically create your own infographics by adding text and little icons in various spots to create a simple infographic. Skills that are needed to use this software are patience and commitment as the software can be very frustrating.
For my inforgraphic I’m going to preview the Super Bowl and the four teams left competing to win it because it’s a huge event which is watched all over the world.

Erin – this is very visually appealing and I like the addition of the logos. However, I think the text is too small and therefore hard to read. Overall great.
Kian – the symmetry is nice and it is aesthetically pleasing, however I believe the writing is too small and could be larger in order to make the statistics sand out.
Rhiannon – I think that the symmetry is nice
